New Tide Park and Ride at Fort Norfolk

Norfolk currently has a very popular Park and Ride for the Tide light-rail at the eastern end of the line at Newtown Rd. Station. Now, there is parking at the opposite end of the line at Fort Norfolk Station near the EVMS, Sentara, and CHKD.

The Virginia-Pilot reports that this will not be a full-time lot, but it will be free for riders from 6 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and from 6 p.m. Friday to midnight Sunday.  There are 458 spots, making it the largest park-and-ride among HRT's four existing lots.
