Everything's In Place For Slover Library Construction

Back in May, the city broke ground on the Colonel Samuel L. Slover Memorial Library and since then, there really hasn't been much action on the site.  However, if you've looked over the Norfolk skyline, you may have noticed a new crane pop up.  That crane is indeed for the library.  In addition, orange barriers are surrounding the site. Next we should begin to see some heavy-lifting.
The historic Seaboard Building on Plume St.
The state-of-the-art library will be build next to the Seaboard Building and connect it via glass atrium to the Selden Arcade.
Everything looks in place
The library will provide approximately 70,000 additional square feet than the current one for meeting rooms and a technology center.

The project is scheduled for completion in December 2014.  For more information, click here.
