Hotel & Conference Center On This Week's Council Agenda

The working session agenda for this Tuesday's City Council meeting lists the hotel conference center as an item to be briefed by City Manager Marcus Jones.  Hopefully, Jones will provide some good news that this thing is ready to get going.

Earlier this month, the City of Norfolk and developer Bruce Thompson, the CEO of Gold Key PHR Hotels and Resorts in Virginia Beach, reached a deal on a $130 million project that would include a 300-room hotel, a 50,000 square-foot conference center, a 600-space parking deck, and restaurant.
