A Winery In Norfolk?!

Recently, Norfolk (of all places) became the home of the area's first urban winery, Mermaid Winery.  Located in the Palace Station Shops off 22nd St. in Ghent, there is a tasting room and porch area where you can relax and enjoy the wines they have to offer.

Mermaid's first vintage includes Chardonnay, semi-dry white blend, Cabernet Franc, a red blend, peach and raspberry.  In addition, the winery will serve over 60 artisan wines, some local beers and small dishes that go with the wine.  For more information on Mermaid Winery, visit their website.
