Norfolk To Become Bike-Friendly

In an effort to make the city of Norfolk more bike-friendly, the city recently announced that its  Department of Public Works is working on a program to install bicycle markings on streets throughout the city.

According to the city's website, the ultimate goal is to make Norfolk more bike-friendly.

"The Department of Public Works is installing the bike lanes, sharrows, and signs as part of the Bicycle Commission’s 2012 Bicycle Plan.  The initial markings are being installed on streets that have been recently resurfaced.  The Commission plans to develop a more comprehensive plan that incorporates more streets in Norfolk in the future."

Good move, Norfolk!
