According to Inside Business, the downtown Norfolk's new 7-Eleven in the Wells Fargo Center has a different feel than most 7-Elevens in the area. The idea was to fancy it up a little bit to enhance the image of the chain and reach a larger demographic.
The Monticello Ave. location is actually the first of its kind in southeastern Va., because of it being located as part of a mixed-use complex. In addition, this is the only convenience store downtown. Some of the features include granite counter tops, tile floors and LED lighting. It is also directly in front of a Tide stop. There is also a plan in place to sell high-end beer and wine.
