Norfolk Amtrak Station Photo Update - 6/25/13

Construction on the new Amtrak Passenger Rail Station at Harbor Park has really come along over the last month.  Here are some new progress shots.
Some details of the project:
  • 3,500 square foot station.
  • The building will include ticket counter, a waiting room and bathrooms.
  • The platform will be 725 feet long and partially covered with canopies.
  • The station, just near Harbor Park, will be looked at as a potential multi-modal station in the future to include rail, light rail, bus, cab, and ferry services.
  •  Project cost - $3,000,000.
  • Completion Date – Fall 2013.

    This is really exciting. I'm a strong supporter of Amtrak, and I'm really glad to see this station going in. Thanks for the photos.

    It looks like it'll be a pretty slick looking station with a bit of a modern look to it. I like it.
