According to a newsletter by the Norfolk Department of Development, the Wainwright Apartments should be ready for occupancy this September. Built in 1929, the 9-story former medical tower will bring another 200 rental units downtown.
Apartments will rent $1,000 and $2,000, with most apartments priced at about $1,200. The rooftop will feature a sky lounge with a 360 degree view of Norfolk, grilling area and dog park. The apartment complex will also have off the street parking, a cyber cafe and fitness center. For more info, visit the the Wainwright's new website.
