Monticello Arcade Sees Influx Of Retailers

According to a recent Inside Business article, the Monticello Arcade, which opened in downtown Norfolk in 1908 and has a long history, has gone through a bit of a resurgence lately with several vendors opening shop.

The small business mall, located between City Hall Ave. and Plume St., has 31 tenants spread over three stories. Tenants include Nest Home Inc. (a custom framing and custom furniture store) Monticello Shoes, Salon Fringe, (recently doubled its space), Studio Posey (a florist), Smooth (a spa), Lorak Jewelry & Gifts (opened in April), and the brand new Chartreuse Bistro (which I've written about before).

In addition to the retail, there are a number of professional offices including Sams & Gilchrist LLS, State Farm, Kenneth B. Willis Attorney at Law, Mol America Inc., Rawls McNelis + Mitchell PC, and Work Program Architects, who have also recently expanded their space for conference rooms and an art gallery.
