First Glimpse Of "The Wainwright Downtown"


Inside Business took a small tour (with photos) of a model unit recently in the historic Wainwright Building, now dubbed "The Wainwright Downtown."  The building has undergone a $25 million renovation to turn the it into apartments.
The renovations, which are expected to wrap up in September, will result in 126 high-end apartments.  Apartments will rent $1,000 and $2,000, with most apartments priced at about $1,200.  The rooftop will feature a sky lounge with a 360 degree view of Norfolk, grilling area and dog park.  The apartment complex will also have off the street parking, a cyber cafe and fitness center.  For more info, visit the the Wainwright's new website.
