Details emerged today from the Pilot that a development group is in talks with Norfolk over a piece of property off of 21st St. west of Colley Ave, that would become medical office and retail space.
The Robinson Development Group and Stanton Partners don't yet have a deal in place, but it has been confirmed that the health company, Bon Secours would be a major tenant. The development group is also reportedly in talks with a major retailer to open up shop.
This piece of land has long been the rumored site of a Trader Joe's or Fresh Market and recently across the street, the old warehouses began converting into a mixed-use development. These two developments would greatly transform this end of 21st St., which already boasts a favorite bar in Ghent, the Tap House Grill.
