More Info Released On Proposed Granby St. Project

Two weeks ago, Norfolk Live posted a story about a proposed five-story mixed-use building coming to Granby Street.  Today, The Pilot unveiled more details of the project to be developed by Buddy Gadams, the famed developer who attempted to bring us Granby Tower.

The $10 million project at 401 Granby St. is currently making its way through the approval process would bring 65 luxury apartments downtown.  The building would also include a clubhouse and courtyard for residents, and non-restaurant retail on the first floor.  Gadams is trying to work out a deal with the city for parking.

Studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments would be available for $1000 to $2000 per month and units would feature granite counter tops, stainless appliances, hardwood floors and balconies.  If approved, construction could start at the beginning of the year.  For more information on this project and for a look at the conceptual drawings, click here.
