Downtown Bus Transfer Station Plans Released

Listed on the agenda for next week's Design Review Committee meeting is an item pertaining to the plans of the new HRT bus transfer station downtown.  The highly-debated location of this project was determined to be in the Downtown Plaza in St. Paul's quadrant, where the old ABC store stands.

Elements of the transfer station include:

• 3000 square ft. in size
• A facility for bus information, security, ticket vending, and restrooms
• Space for potential retail
• A canopy covering up to 12 bus bays for outdoor waiting

Still no word on when construction will begin or a target date for opening.
